Julie Starr
Julie Starr is a psychic medium with a Ph.D. in Psychology with an emphasis in Consciousness and
Spirituality, and a master’s degree in Transpersonal Psychology. She published the research she
conducted as a graduate student at Saybrook University entitled, “Extraordinary Experiences of the
Bereaved and Adaptive Outcomes of Grief,” in Omega: Journal of Death and Dying (51)4, Dec. 2005. This
foundational research connected after-death communication experiences and continuing bonds with
the deceased to the personal and spiritual growth of the bereaved. She has taught psychology to
university and community college students either as an instructor or assistant professor since 2004.
Prior to that, she was a Deputy Sheriff in North Carolina. Julie is also an artist specializing in graphite
portraits, pet portraits, and spirit art. Sometimes, she uses art during psychic readings to make a deeper
connection with the readee, creating a unique type of “tarot card” personalized for their own spiritual
empowerment.
Julie first realized her intuitive abilities during a handful of dramatic and life-altering incidents when she
worked as a deputy sheriff. She had many spontaneous psychic experiences throughout her adult life.
When she reached the age of 50, paranormal experiences became so frequent that she decided to
develop her abilities to use in service for the higher good. Julie enrolled in the International School of
Clairvoyance where she began formally developing her mediumship and psychic abilities. She is now a
practicing psychic medium, remote viewer, and spirit artist.
