Joining us today to discuss American Jewish history is Dr. Jonathan Sarna. Dr. Sarna is a University Professor at the Joseph H. & Belle R. Braun Professor of American Jewish History and is Director of the Schusterman Center for Israel Studies at Brandeis University.

Dr. Sarna became interested in American Jewish history early on in high school – and has spent close to five decades studying this topic at an advanced level. Since then, he has educated numerous students and worked on over 30 books. These publications include American Judaism: A History, When General Grant Expelled the Jews, and Lincoln and the Jews: A History.
