Hannah and Kelvyn have been charged with offences under the Films, Videos and Publications Classifications Act 1993

KELVYN ALP: 2 Counts with penalties of $200,000 fines and 14 years imprisonment each.

HANNAH SPIERER: 1 Count with penalties of $200,000 fines and 14 years imprisonment.

Charged with posting on the Counterspin Media Telegram channel on 21st February 2022 a web link to a UK website. The website published part 1 of an investigative documentary into the "Christchurch Massacre".
Two days later on 23rd February the government's Chief Censor declares the investigative documentary objectionable, now giving the government cause for prosecution after the fact.
Six months later, on 25th August, 2022, police detectives from the National Security Intelligence Team (NSIT) and CIB conducted search and seizure raids at multiple locations, seizing computer hardware and digital assets.
Hannah and Kelvyn were arrested at the scene and charged. Further charges may be pending against other Counterspin Media journalists.
