This week, Darrell Brooks seeks to represent himself in a trial that is set to start October 3, 2022. On September 27, 2022, Brooks failed to convince Judge Jennifer Dorow that he understood the consequences and implications of self-representation. The Court gave Brooks a deadline of September 28, 2022 to sign the proper waivers of representation and convince the Court he understands his actions.

Darrell Brooks is accused of killing six and injuring 60 when he careened through the Waukesha Holiday Parade on November 21, 2021 with his car.
