Spanish-style Bangus (Gourmet Bangus Sardine-style)

This Spanish-Style bangusis cooked using pressure cooker, while immersed in a lovely amount of olive oil together with some carrots and green olives, seasoned with peppercorns, pickles, bay leaves, oyster sauce and a few chilies for some kick. This Bungus sardines can be stored in jars for up to a month! This simple recipe will guide you step by step to make your favourite Spanish-Style bangus. This recipe is very simple and delicious. Best when you would like some ready to eat ulam at your home. Best paired with a lot of hot steaming rice. Yum!

INGREDIENTS:
1 ½ kilo milkfish
3 cups olive oil (or corn/coconut oil)
2 medium carrots
½ cup green olives
¼ cup pickles
â…“ cup dried bay leaves
1 1/2 tablespoons salt
2 bulbs garlic
½ cup water
2 tablespoons oyster sauce (optional)
6 to 8 pieces red chilies

FOR BRINING
1 ½ liters of water
1/2 cup salt
