JESUS, THE MESSIAH & ETERNAL KING Mathew 19:16-22
• Matt 19:16 To this man seeking assurance of eternal life, Jesus pointed out that salvation does not come from good deeds unaccompanied by love for God. The man needed a whole new starting point. Instead of adding another commandment to keep or good deed to perform, the young man needed to submit humbly to the lordship of Christ.

• Matt 19:17-20 In response to the young man's question about what good deed he needed to do in order to be assured of eternal life, Jesus told him to keep God's Ten Commandments. Jesus then listed six of them, all referring to relationships with others. When the young man replied that he had kept the commandments, Jesus told him that he must do something more—sell everything and give the money to the poor. Jesus' statement exposed the man's weakness. In reality, his wealth was his god, his idol, and he would not give it up. Thus, he violated the first and greatest commandment. What is that object or person that stands between you and God today?

• Matt. 19:21-22 The disciples must have forgotten what Jesus had said about children (Mat_18:4-6). Jesus wanted little children to come to him because he loves them and because they have a guileless trust in God. All people need childlike faith in God. The receptiveness of little children was a great contrast to the stubbornness of the religious leaders, who let their education and sophistication stand in the way of the simple faith needed to believe in Jesus.

Personal Supplication
Father in the name of Jesus, I make a covenant with You today that I and my household shall serve You alone all the days of my life. Josh 24:15
15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

Daily Covenant Favor Declaration
I decree in the name of Jesus, from this moment forward, I see myself the way God sees me. I am highly favoured of the Lord. I am crowned with glory and honour. I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.
I am reigning as a king in life through the one man Jesus Christ the messiah. Now in Jesus name, I declare by faith that I walk in divine favour, I have preferential treatment, supernatural increase. I have restoration, I have prominence, I have petitions granted, laws changed, policies and rules changed, and battles won, which I do not have to fight all because of favour. The blessing and favour of God is on my life. In Jesus name, every morning, when I arise, I would speak and expect divine favour to go before me and surround me as with a shield, with goodwill and pleasures forevermore.

Doors are now open for me that men said are impossible to open. No obstacles can stop me, no hindrances can delay me. In Jesus name, I am honoured by my Father, as I receive genuine favour that comes directly from God. I am special to Him, I am the object of His affection, I am the apple of His eyes, I am blessed and highly favoured of the Lord. Everyone and everything shall work to favour me. Angels Goodness and Mercy shall accompany me in all my ways. It is written with long life will God satisfy me and show me his salvation. Therefore, I declare that I shall not die but live to declare the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. I declare over me and my household today that the yoke and burden of death over us is broken. So shall it be for me and my household today in Jesus’ name, Amen and Amen!
