Burgarly suspect arrested after breaking in Promise Youth and Community Center

On September 24, 2022, at around 11:00 PM, officers responded to a burglary call at the At Promise Youth and Community Center, at 740 Cameron Alexander Blvd in Northwest Atlanta.

Upon arrival, officers began checking the location and found the suspect attempting to leave the area with kitchen items he had stolen from inside. The suspect fled on foot and was able to evade immediate capture.

Officers were certain the suspect was hiding nearby and remained determined to find him. After a nearly 45 minute search, officers located the male hiding at the top of a staircase behind a nearby home. The suspect was taken into custody with out incident and charged with burglary and obstruction.

We applaud the diligence of the officers involved in tracking down this suspect and bringing him into custody without incident.
