We look at the Notting Hill Carnival that held on 28th August and 29th August 2022. This yearly carnival showcases Afro-Caribbean culture in London.

It was first celebrated in 1966, but it has grown exponentially ever since.

We celebrate this festival today.

Why?

Because it a celebration of Afro-Caribbean culture in London. This carnival is visited by over two million Londoners and tourists from across the globe.

It significantly contributes to the economy of London, bringing revenue in excess of £100 million.

It is a celebration of the cultural diversity of London. People of all races, colours and beliefs came together to celebrate Europe's largest street party.
