Frost Engine Main article: Frostbite Engine

The Frostbite Engine is a new generation of game engines developed by EA DICE since the mid-2000s, featuring the ability to run large, detailed game maps while rendering full destruction of ground, buildings, and debris with low system resources. Large-scale games where all objects can be destroyed can be easily run with the Frost Engine.
Games in the Battlefield series that use the Frost Engine include Battlefield: Rebel Company, Battlefield 1943, and Battlefield: Rebel Company 2.
