Tigers are the largest wild cats in the world. They are powerful hunters with sharp teeth, strong jaws, and typically hunt along and prefer to hunt in the dark A newborn tiger cub weighs about 700g – 1600g, and blind at birth. Therefore tiger cubs are completely dependent on the mother for a couple of weeks. The tiger cubs begin to consume solid food from 6-8 weeks. They spend their time playing with siblings and mother, and it helps them to develop essential skills for living. Cubs stay with their mother for about 18 – 24 months. They like water and can swim well. They are cute, funny, and very popular in zoos around the world.
