A few years ago, I took Jordan Peterson's "Big 5" personality typing test and it put me in the bottom 6% in terms of the trait "agreeableness" and bottom 2% in politeness.

This was surprising to me because I'm generally not an asshole and care deeply about people, so I assume I've just learned how to find rational grounds for compassionate behavior.

That being said... I DO find myself feeling most alive when I have something to FIGHT AGAINST.

As a little kid, I wanted to beat up bad guys more than I wanted to help old ladies cross streets or heal sick people.

This is why I've shifted my branding to embrace the concept of "Anti-Escapism".

Another way of saying this is that I'm "for" productivity, facing your challenges, leveling up in real life, etc... but for some reason, putting things in the positive doesn't light a fire in me.

But getting to be ANTI-escapism? Well that sounds kinda cool...

Yeah, I wanna be a hero, but I vibe way more with the idea of the DOOM soundtrack playing when I confront challenges instead of the Star Wars theme for example.

Neither approach is right or wrong, but you DO want to be working from the mindset you're built for.

I'd rather be a moral monster, a holy terror, a man who goes on the offensive toward evil.

That kind of shit lights me up.

But for other guys that approach falls flat, they aren't looking for a fight, they are looking for peace healing and glory of harmonious prosperity.

Ultimately both sides can work for the same thing (and even look the same externally), but it's really about what headspace do you draw your power from.
