Dr. Gabor Maté Discusses The Relationship Between STRESS, TRAUMA, AND DISEASE
Despite having the most sophisticated medical system in the world, why are we witnessing an increase in chronic disease, stress, obesity, addiction, and so many other states of illness? Due to the fact that we do not reside in a natural or typical world. In reality, we're reacting normally to our unusual circumstances, many of which lead to trauma that is then stored in the body and brain.
In this video Dr Mark Hyman, had the privilege of speaking with his close friend Dr. Gabor Maté about the illusion of normal and the reasons why it is so important to perform the challenging work of exposing trauma in order to live our lives to the fullest.
