Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine was blessed beforehand by Xi Jinping and marked the initiation of a so-called “no limits partnership” the two leaders announced days before in Beijing. In the intervening months the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has undermined Western sanctions on Russia, resisted international efforts even to condemn its invasion and conducted joint military maneuvers that suggest preparations for Sino-Russian aggression in the Pacific. Of particular concern are reported offensively oriented submarine operations being conducted by one or both countries in U.S. littoral waters.

As part of its weekly series of webinars focused on the CCP’s “Unrestricted Warfare” against America, the Committee on the Present Danger: China examines the ominous new axis between the senior and junior partners – Xi’s PRC and Putin’s Russia. The current collaboration between Beijing and Moscow, what may be in the offing and what the United States must do to secure its people, territory and vital interests in the face of such threats is being addressed by four founding members of the Committee on the Present Danger: China.
