The purpose of this 5 minute body scan meditation is to tune in to your body—to reconnect to your physical self—and notice any sensations you’re feeling without judgement.

You do this by bringing attention to your body and noticing different sensations, as you mentally scan down from head to toe.

Most negative emotions have a physical effect, it could be a headache or muscle pain. Whatever it is, the body scan meditation will help you release physical tension. When you notice tension, just focus on it without judging it. Just feel the feeling of the tension.
