Sunrise Flight at the Tower of the Americas on 9/11/2022 & The San Antonio Pipe & Drum Practicing

We were down at the Tower of Americas, in downtown San Antonio, hours before sunrise to get ready for the San Antonio 110 9/11 Memorial Climb event that would be happening later that day. We put our Autel Evo 2 Pro drone up in the air to catch some B-Roll material and decided it was good enough to make this video. As a Part 107 Certified Pilot, we were allowed to fly up to 400ft above the antenna on the Tower because the downtown area is Class G unrestricted airspace. Recreational pilots are restricted to only 400ft above ground level, not allowing for the additional height of surrounding buildings or man made structures.

But as we came back down for a landing, the San Antonio Pipe & Drum group chose to do their warm up practicing next to our launch area. The Evo 2 Pro 6K camera is perfect for low light conditions. The audio from the Pipe & Drum performance was recorded from a digital recorder.
