NASA on Monday said it "scrubbed" a planned launch of a rocket and space capsule to the moon for a month-long orbit due to engine problems, marking a setback for the U.S. space agency's lunar ambitions.
"We don't launch until it's right," NASA Administrator Bill Nelson said Monday morning after the agency postponed the mission. "This is a very complicated machine, a very complicated system."
The space agency said the next available launch date would be Sept. 2.
Despite this latest setback, NASA has its sights set on returning humans to the moon, where no astronauts have reached since 1972....
