Colorado Residents Have Thermostats LOCKED by Energy Company | The Chad Prather Show

An energy company in Colorado recently locked tens of thousands of its users out from adjusting their home thermostats on a day when the temperature was almost up to 90. Let us remember that to a Coloradan, 90 is actually considered hot. Regardless, the point is that for these Colorado residents, the temperature shift simply wasn’t something they could do much about because their smart thermostats at home wouldn’t go below 79 or 78 degrees, no matter what the homeowners did. Let this situation to serve as an example because the tech might be getting smarter, but that doesn't mean it's smart to use.
