That's NOTHING like 135lbs. Because the bar doesn't freely slide up and down doesn't mean you can't feel the weight upon pushing upward. The only thing you don't feel is the pressure of weight bearing down due to not supporting it fully. Trust you still feel that weight when you attempt to move it upwards and make it so bad because it's not moving freely you can't really push it fast the heavier it gets. The heavier it gets it's almost a little bit more difficult because it's in a fixed track meaning there's only one way to move it upwards. You have to be truly centered or you will get stuck trying to go up, which makes you grateful it's a Smith machine instead of just a Power Rack because it has notched stops along the tracks.
