Residents and locals of Chinatown-ID came to Seattle City Hall to demand answers over the planned homeless complex being constructed blocks away from the International District's Chinatown.

Coming from Hing Hay park, the American Chinese locals came to the town hall with 60 speakers coming to voice specific worries and even remonstrate the council members/leadership on a lack of representation over the location, the increase in crime, as well as racial animus that has been targeted by many against the elderly members of the Seattle American-Chinese community.

Interviews taken were from before and after the city council meeting to give a picture for the situation leading up to the meeting as well as impressions for before entering it as well as to processing how it went after the council meeting passed the issue.

Reporters for various outlets and even locals recorded the event as it took place in Seattle on James and 4th Streets at City Hall at 2:20 PM. It was September 20th, 2022 and locals have only at most given 1 week when the homeless complex was last discussed.
