Can statins be effective in the prevention of a stroke if there is a history of at least one TIA? What about blood thinners with a normal platelet count?

Dr. Paul Marik says statins are overused and there is little data that they have benefits. He says the most important thing is to get your insulin resistance down, through healthy diet and intermittent fasting. Dr. Joe Varon adds that consistent exercise, 3x a week 35-40minutes of cardio, is also very important.
