EPIC Sega + Sonic The Hedghog LED SIGN!

In this#YouTube #Shorts episode, we take a look at a new 3D LED sign design that should make Sonic the hedgehog and Sega fans very happy.

While I am a Nintendo fan at heart, I still love me some Sega and Sonic the hedgehog. As such, when I recently posted the videos about our 3D printed Nintendo signs, Sega fans spoke up and said they wanted some too! So that's when I got to work on trying to design something that would look good and display well

Initially, I tried to use a completely different lightbox than what I had used for the Nintendo signs, trying to give this an original personality. I still want to eventually, but at least for the time being I could not make it work in such a way that I was happy with. As such, I did repurpose the main design elements from my previous designs, scaling them appropriately to fit the logos on the front display portion.

On my prototype, I used a not quite accurate blue for the main body of the light, and I have this pearlescent white/blue filament that I used for the fish logos. I've used this once before and found that it doesn't have enough blue to truly pop on a white background. Unfortunately, that was the case again on this one.

Now, this design is different than others that I've done in the past. Previously I had stopped the print process at a specific layer height and done a single color change. This time, I have two pauses to change colors, as I wanted a white accent at the top of the Sega logo to really make it pop and stand out. It does that here, but I think the blue is not bright enough to make it pop.

The good news is I think the print looks good and I have different filaments on the way. I'll be adding these to my 3D printer store and it will be the same price as the other two signs that I have as of right now.
