Linear Regression the Forgotten Daytrading Indicator

Easily identify trading entries with linear regression

Linear regression is something we all learn in mathematics, but it's very useful in price action trading as well. The free linear regression indicator in #tradingview will give you a linear regression midline on the last 100 candles, which you can adjust that lookback, but then you also get an upper and lower trend channel line 2 standard deviations from the linear regression. You can adjust these settings, but the nice thing is that you get a price action channel that shows you great entries on the longs from the bottom of the channel and shorts from the top of the channel. It's very useful in ranges and in strong trends!
