The brilliant moves by Govs. Abbott and (especially) DeSantis have refocuses the midterms on the single most pressing issue facing the nation: open borders and unlimited immigration. Economists confirm that no country can remain viable if it combines open borders with a welfare state. The US is a welfare state and the Biden "open borders" will inexorably bring about the economic collapse of the nation. It is inevitable. So either the borders are secured or the US abandons its welfare programs or the nation will economically collapse. There is no way out. A poll that appears to display left-wing bias nevertheless shows that Biden's MAGA feat speech has not had the intended impact, where there is greater fear of left-wing socialism than of right-wing extremism. And for good reasons. As Mayor of San Francisco, Gavin Newsom promoted the Homeward Bound program, where the homeless were given one-way bus tickets not just out of San Francisco but out of California altogether. His (and other Democrats') hypocrisy has destroyed their credibility. Trump has rightfully declared that his border policies worked, of which there can be no serious doubt, and now the agenda has become clear by Democrats opposing an amendment that would preclude non-citizens from voting in federal elections. Today's illegals are tomorrow's Democrats! A Texas sheriff demonstrates his political bias--which has been manifest repeatedly in his past performance--by opening an investigation into DeSantis for sending those 50 migrants to Martha's Vineyard, where it appears to be one more political charade. And new developments in Jim's SCOTUS case strengthen his (and others) expectation that this one is going to go "all the way".
