Metropolis Day with Ranger - Blender - DAZ Studio - Dreamlight

An experiment with motion and an HDRI light source. Using the Movie Maker Iray - Metropolis Day for DAZ Studio, the Car Ranger model has been added. Unlike that is usual with HDRIs, the camera is still while the Ranger and the wheels have been animated. Converted to Blender using Diffeomorphic.

In DAZ Studio, the Ranger does cast a proper shadow from the IBLs, but in Blender, a plane as a shadow catcher is necessary. The base Car Ranger model does not have Iray materials and is a straight conversion via Diffeomorphic. Rendered in Cycles in Blender 2.92.

Movie Maker Iray - Metropolis Day was created by Dreamlight. The Car Ranger was created by Petipet. Both are available on the DAZ 3D store.
