After over a year Xbox Game Pass has proven itself to be popular with consumers across not only the Xbox but also the PC gaming ecosystem. With Phil Spencer and Microsoft taking a victory lap more companies including Jim Ryan of Sony PlayStation have voiced concern in Microsoft challenging the status quo of the gaming industry. With Shuntaro Furukawa success with the Nintendo Switch and the PS5 being in short supply worldwide Xbox seemingly abandoning the console centric video game business model has raised a few eyebrows especially with The Xbox Series X and Series S being in last place. After the news of 343 Industries cancelling couch co-op for Halo Infinite and other features fans are wondering who’s to blame.
