The legal scholar most quoted by those who wrote America's first laws said this about its first sentence "...no human law should be suffered to contradict these."

Quoting Blackstone "UPON these two foundations, the law of nature
and the law of revelation (laws of Nature's God), depend all human laws; that is to say, no human laws should be suffered to contradict these."
