Jan. 2023: Meta announces time to "consider" Trump reinstatement after banning in 2020

Ever since Trump's 2020 presidential election race first launched, social sites such as Twitter and Meta simultaneously shut down the former president's freedom to express his thoughts on their public platforms, in the name of "violating the website's rules and standards." Long after these mainstream social outlets blocked Trump and others who spoke out against "said rules" around or during the 2020 election year, many Americans still find themselves in and out of social-media "jail" to this day. Meta has only just announced it will begin to consider, in early January of 2023, whether to restore Donald Trump's social media or not.
