South Korea, China agree to scale up communications for peace on Korean Peninsula

South Korea and China have agreed to beef up strategic communications to resolve North Korea's nuclear issue and maintain peace on the Korean Peninsula. Top Chinese legislator Li Zhanshu and South Korean National Assembly Speaker Kim Jin-pyo also discussed strengthening cooperation to manage supply chains and widening exchanges between the two countries. Mr Li is in Seoul for a three-day visit - he is the highest-level Chinese official to visit the country since 2015.
