HOUSTON PURSUIT ENDS IN LIVINGSTON, LIVINGSTON TEXAS, 09/22/22...

Pursuit Starts in Houston, Ends in Livingston, LIVINGSTON, September 22, 2022 - At approximately 12 midnight on September 22, 2022, a constable in Houston attempted to stop a black Chevy Silverado pickup in Houston (Beltway 8 at Wallisville Rd.). The driver chose to evade and a long pursuit that lasted for about an hour ended when Deputy Just Murdock, with the Polk County Sheriff's Office, successfully spiked the tires of the suspect vehicle as it was entering the Livingston City Limits. The driver (name being withheld at this time) continued and took the Business 59 Exit (Pan American) and finally stopped about halfway down Pan American. The suspect was allegedly armed (AR15 rifle). Troopers, constables, Livingston Police, and Polk County Deputies converged on the vehicle. For safety, officers used a loud speaker and talked the suspect out of the vehicle with hands visible the entire time. The suspect complied with the commands and was successfully cuffed and apprehended by Deputy Caleb Boyer with the Polk County Sheriff's Office. The suspect has been reportedly transported to Polk County Jail where he'll be booked in.
