Chopin, Bach and Tchaikovsky compositions have a calming effect which aids in releasing dopamine. Dopamine prevents the release of stress hormones, and spikes feelings of pleasure and focus. From here, mood is improved - clarifying thinking, increasing the ability to absorb information, and see things from other perspectives.
A range of studies have been released showing that students that listened to classical music while studying performed better in exams. Additionally, classical music can improve productivity and creativity in the work place, and for work projects.
