Bleach Blu-ray Set 8 (Episodes 196-223) - Anime Review

Welcome to my review of the eighth Bleach blu-ray set which contains episodes 196-223. Episodes 196-205 consist of the conclusion to the "Arrancar vs. Soul Reaper" arc, episodes 206-212 consist of the "Turn Back The Pendulum" arc, and episodes 213- 223 consist of the "Arrancar: Decisive Battle of Karakura Town" arc. This blu-ray contains some of the best episodes in the entire series featuring the Captains going all out in their battles against the Espadas. Kenpachi, Mayuri, Byakuya, and Unohana arrive to aid Ichigo and his friends by defeating Nnoitra, Szayelaporro, and Zommari. Meanwhile, Aizen makes his way to Karakura Town with Gin, Kaname, Starrk, Baraggan, and Halibel only to find the remaining Captains led by Head Captain Yamamoto guarding it. The decisive battle begins! There was also the "Turn Back The Pendulum" arc which explains a lot of important plot points in regards to Aizen, the Visoreds, and Urahara. Next week, we will discuss the remaining episodes in the "Arrancar: Decisive Battle of Karakura Town" arc before pivoting to the "Zanpakuto Unknown Tales" arc, which was actually quite good for a filler arc.
