Why podcasts?

So now we're going to say my book is written. I'm a bestseller. You mentioned earlier that just being a bestseller helps me get on podcasts
and speaking engagements. So can you tell me how that helps? Why do I want to be on podcasts? Like, what do I want to do with that?

Remember, I am a website designer. Yeah. Okay. You want to be known
as the authority in your niche. So whatever it is that you do, you do website design, and you want to be known for that. The go-to person. If you want to know how to do blah blah blah, go to what's her name? Right? And you want to be visible everywhere. 20 years ago when I got started online, you needed to be in front of people 3 to 7 times to get them to know, like, and trust you. And they would say, oh, well, you know what? That person seems to know what they're talking about. I want to have an appointment with them. I'll go see them. 10 years ago, it was, you know, 10 to 15 times you had to well, 10 or 12 times really, that you had to have yourself out in front of them, like your picture, your authority, your landing pages, little programs you had to advertise everywhere. Back then Facebook Ads worked really, really well. Nowadays, after the pandemic, people are much savvier. They're much more online all the time. The Internet is very crowded. Lots of people are trying to promote small businesses. Now people don't trust as much because there are too many brands and new people. So you need to be out there 17 to 20 times according to statistics.
These aren't mine. These are professional statistics. You have to be out that many times in front of people to get them to know like and trust you.
So I created a program where you're in front of I get you in front of 24
different ways in front of your ideal target market. My TV show has six million syndicated viewers, I have three different shows. That's amazing.
So the reason you want the book, thank you, is because the book will open doors for you. If you came to me and said, hey, I've got a book, I'll be like, oh, what's your book about? Right? I'll be leaning in to find out because you'd make a great speaker. When you don't have a book, I'm going, okay. Well, do you have a program? Do you sell things online? Like, why would my audience want to talk to you? Right? But when you say I've got a book,
I already know that a lot of people in the world say you're an expert. So if a lot of people think you're an expert, then my audience, there's going to be a lot of people that are going to want to hear that too. Okay. So Essentially, the book is giving you expert status. Exactly. Authority and credibility.
And it opens doors for you. Because once you're on little programs like mine, you can get on bigger shows like ABC, NBC, CBS, and Fox, and you can't even get through the door today with those people until you've been on lots of these smaller shows, the syndicated shows because they want you to learn how. I've got special glasses. Right? If I put my other glasses on, the first thing that happens is my ring light shows in my glasses. All it is is it's a different kind of glass. So when people know that I have my own TV show, they know that I know how to do my hair, my makeup, my hand gestures, how to speak, that my glasses aren't reflecting, that the dog's not jumping on me, the doorbells not ringing, and, you know, things aren't going crazy. They know I'm going to be a quality guest. They know I'm going to shut up and let you ask questions and that I'll talk when I need to. Right? Yes, exactly. I want a pair of those glasses afterward, you'll have to tell me. I don't even remember where I got them. You can ask whoever
you get your glasses from, just say I want the nonglare version for on the computer. So when I'm on Zoom, the lights aren't reflecting. That is a great tip for all of us, people that have to have glasses. Mhmm.
