Canada: PM Justin Trudeau meets with New Zealand counterpart Jacinda Ardern – September 19, 2022

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Jacinda Ardern, his New Zealand counterpart, comment briefly ahead of their bilateral meeting on a flight en route from London to New York. Both leaders were in London to attend the state funeral for Queen Elizabeth II. They are now both heading to New York to participate in the 77th Session of the United Nations General Assembly. The Queen died on September 8, 2022, at the age of 96, ending a record 70-year reign as monarch of the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth.
