Ministers Randy Boissonnault (tourism and associate minister of finance), Jean-Yves Duclos (health), Ahmed Hussen (housing) and Diane Lebouthillier (national revenue) speak with reporters on Parliament Hill about legislation to implement the federal government's recently announced measures aimed at addressing the rising cost of living and inflation. The government plans to double the Goods and Services Tax Credit (GSTC) for six months, introduce the first phase of a national dental-care program, and provide a one-time $500 top up to the Canada Housing Benefit for renters. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced the new measures during the Liberal party's caucus retreat on September 13.
