Police reports state two officers came to the congresswoman's Georgia home at 2:53 a.m. in response to a call of "a male possibly shooting his family members and then himself," according to CNBC. The practice of swatting is typically calling a police department to the home of somebody whom the caller doesn't like to report a violent crime in progress.
