I'm furious I've been ordered to remove the flags I'm flying for the Queen just before her funeral

An Illustrious fan who praised the Sovereign's Platinum Celebration by flying two Association Jacks outside his home is seething in the wake of being told to pull them down following her passing.

John Broadhead said the committee's structure is "out and out rude" during the public time of grieving - and he has promised to keep the banners in prime position.
The 72-year-old said he raised the enthusiastic flags in May this year to stamp the late ruler's 70-year rule.

Months passed with practically no issues, at the same time, on September 16 - eight days after Her Highness' passing - he says he got a letter from his neighborhood authority.

Authorities said the banners are "hindering the thruway" and they requested him to discard them immediately.

An irate John, from Farnham, Surrey, said: "The banners have been up for three and a half months and it's just an issue now.
"I was unable to accept it when got that letter. This seven day stretch, everything being equal.

"It's staggering, truth be told, out and out

Discourteous. They are genuine jobsworths."

John, a resigned rental video shop chief, demands nobody had whined about the banners before this week.

Truth be told, he asserts his neighbors "totally love" them.
"They generally say how wonderful it is that I'm so energetic," the Prods fan added.
"We live in an exceptionally tranquil valley and they aren't disturbing anybody.

"I love motorbikes and have a Harley Davidson and the neighbors most certainly have a greater number of protests about that than my banners."

Pat Ward, who lives privately, said: "It's simply crazy and unjustifiable. It's a wonderful recognition for the Sovereign."

Regardless of being told to have them eliminated quickly, John, who portrays himself as "a genuine traditionalist", is resolved he won't withdraw and yield to Surrey District Gathering's "coldhearted" order.

The retired person said: "I love everything and the banners will not be going anyplace. I figure I will leave them up.
"I went to lay blossoms after Diana and the Sovereign Mother passed on, it's what I do, so this was a genuine kick in the teeth.

"It's the Celebration year and to lose her practically straight a short time later was a huge shock to everyone."
A Surrey Province Chamber representative: "We have an obligation to safeguard the security of the roadways.
