Don't Surrender Your Loneliness (Inspirational Poetry) - Hafiz

If you don't want to be alone, you might want to think again.

As we see in this popular Hafez poem, loneliness carries many secrets on how to get closer to God and how to live a better life. It's a wonderful tool in our spiritual toolkit to experience real spiritual growth and divine love.

Naturally, feeling lonely can be a very difficult emotion to handle, but as Hafez instructs, loneliness can serve as a medium for connecting with God.

Therefore, "don't surrender your loneliness so quickly. Let it cut more deep." It may be that the thing you are trying to avoid the most can actually help you the most.

Full poem:

Don't surrender your loneliness
so quickly.
Let it cut more deep.

Let it ferment and season you
as few human
or even divine ingredients can.

Something missing in my heart tonight
has made my eyes so soft,
my voice
so tender,

My need of God
absolutely
clear.

~ Hafiz
