Yacht Burns on the Water

Occurred on September 12, 2022 / Fiskardo Bay, Greece

Info from Licensor: "I work on a super yacht and as we were tendering in Fiskardo, Kefalonia, Greece, the mentioned sailing yacht SunOdessey 54 entered the bay, supposedly wanted to drop anchor when our Captain and second officer saw smoke coming from inside the yacht. We saw the people fighting the fire, but we think they used up all the extinguishers and when this happened they jumped off the yacht. The harbour authorities came with a zodiac to rescue the people and as soon they got them safe they towed the floating, burning, smoking sailing yacht into shallow waters where unfortunately it completely melted away, the mast broke and it finally sank."
