As long as the rich and corporations can donate to super PACs, and as long as politicians have to rely on those donations in order to get reelected, real change is going to be extremely difficult.

Hi, this is Kenny from Berkeley. I'm calling you from the car. kenny from Berkeley in his car. what can I do for you, Kenny? So I wanted to call about the last point you made during the interview. I only caught the tail end of it while you planted your anti-trust flag right? Yep. So I have conservative parents and the one thing that I can always come back to and this goes you know my grandparents too who are also pretty conservative is money in politics. I've personally believed for a while that if you can remove the stone from the dam or that's clogging the dams that is money and politics from there all good things flow. maybe that's a bit naive of me but I think you know back in the 80s we saw Reagan called it special interest groups then eventually we started calling it lobbying. and now I think most people are just calling it straight-up corruption. but that's one thing that you know left right center I think everyone in America is looking around and saying screw all of this money. so why not start there? I mean I think that's a good idea I should just correct it when Reagan said special interest groups he was not talking about corporate interests. he was oh well I was born in 96. so I assure you that Reagan was talking about women. he was talking about black people. he was talking about immigrants. he was talking about gay people. that's he was talking about unions. that's who he was talking about when he said special interest. I mean the beauty of special interests is it is a term that I can say to you and you and I could completely disagree on everything. but we definitely have special interests that we are against. it's just that your special interest may be different than mine. I think money getting money out of politics is very important.
