September Walk in Sofia Bulgaria | Konstantin Velichkov Metro Station to St.Nikolay Sofiyski Church

A September morning walk from Konstantin Velichkov Metrostation to St. Nikolay Sofiyski Church.
Beginning from Konstantin Velichkov Metrostation, which is in fact the first metro station in the
capital – opened for use in January 1998, the walk follows “Pirotska” street in its more run-down
parts, where you can see old and unkept buildings, stray dogs, street sweepers and senior citizens.

Despite being a bit neglected the street has a history of being the first shopping street in Sofia.
At the end of the video, you will see the beautiful St. Nikolay Sofiyski Church – the second largest in
the city after Alexander Nevsky Cathedral. Although it is huge, the church creates a feeling of great
warmth, because it keeps the spirit of the past and has preserved the great love put in its
construction.
