The Sims 4 originally released for PC in September 2014, will become free-to-play from October 18th developer Maxis have announced.

“With The Sims 4 going free to play, our team is more dedicated than ever to developing new and meaningful The Sims 4 experiences for our players” EA stated

Existing Sims 4 owners will be compensated with a free copy of Desert Luxe Kit from September 14 until October 17.
