Nevada Police Officer Fatally Shoots Armed Suspect Despite Being Shot Herself

Earlier in September, Las Vegas Police initiated a traffic stop that eventually turned into a foot pursuit with one of the vehicle occupants. Officer Tierney Tomburo was pursuing the fleeing occupant, identified as 27-year-old Gabriel Charles, when the suspect fired a single round at the officer, striking her in the hip. The suspect's gun reportedly jammed after firing the first round, and Officer Tomburo fired off four rounds at the armed suspect while on the ground, fatally striking the individual.
