SLPS | Swindon Supermarine 3 Dorchester Town 2
Supermarine picked up all three points against fellow high-flying Magpies at the Webbswood Stadium on Wednesday evening in an epic encounter.
Despite early possession from the visitors, Harry Williams proved too hot to handle as he broke the deadlock on five-minutes, before a fairly even opening forty-five, saw Shaquille Geengwe level the score shortly before the interval - giving the scoreline a fairer feel.
After the break however, Supermarine stepped up a gear and despite the Magpies taking the lead courtesy of Charlie Gunson following the referee opting to play the advantage following a close penalty call, it was Harry Williams who moments later tried a long range effort which tipped the crossbar.
Sustained pressure saw the home side awarded a penalty, but James Harding couldn't manage to squeeze the ball home but the setback was only temporary as he went on to score a brace to help Marine to another well deserved three points.
