I was trying to re-learn this song, and realized there were few video covers of this and so I decided to contribute my take on it.

Being a child of the 70-80s, this was taught to me by friends when I was a beginner on guitar.
During the 90s, I was playing in bands that included Edmond Fortuno and occasionally I would jam with members of JDLC--Hanopol and Pepe would come up and jam, at my gigs in Hobbit House.

So funny, I wasn't playing it the right or correct way--the whole time was a half assed version of the Jeprox song, nobody told me I was playing it wrong!

Oh well, I realized that Hanopol was using a combination of Major and Minor tonalities in the chord progression, so it reflected in the solo.

So if you need tips or advice, let me know in the comments so I can show you how I interpreted it.

It can be a mind opener, combining E major and E minor.. basically a blues rock mentality!

Thank you Mike Hanopol for giving us such a great song! It is a classic and it spans generations of guitar players!

Oh, I was using a Wampler Gearbox. But, I think any distortion or overdrive pedal would fit. I used a generous amount of reverb, coming from a Two Rock Classic Signature--attenuated with a Universal Audio Ox Box.

I'm sorry, I'm pretty spoiled with gear. Nothing to do here in Los Angeles but work, eat and play guitar.
