JESUS, THE MESSIAH & ETERNAL KING Mathew 17:6-10
• Matt 17:6-7 Whereas the voice of God knocks people down in brokenness, Jesus Christ—the Word made flesh—picks them up with tenderness. Listening to the voice of God thundering from Mount Sinai, "Thou Shalt Not," one would fall on his face in humility, fear and trembling. Then Jesus comes and says, "Arise. Be not afraid." Thank God for Jesus Christ, were it not for Him, one would still be on his face. Jesus is our salvation. See what Heb 12:18-19, Heb 12:18 You have not come to a physical mountain, to a place of flaming fire, darkness, gloom, and whirlwind, as the Israelites did at Mount Sinai. Heb 12:19 For they heard an awesome trumpet blast and a voice so terrible that they begged God to stop speaking.

• Matt 17:8 They saw Jesus only. That's the key. May we not try to keep the law. May we not try to follow the prophets. May we have eyes on Jesus only. On this mountain, Jesus was radiant in His transfiguration. Jesus could have launched right off that mountain into heaven, saying, "So long, gang. I came and showed you that man can live sinlessly. Don't condemn or indict Me for giving you an impossible task. I came and proved it could be done." At that point, the world would have been damned, and God could not have been held accountable for being unfair. But instead of launching into heaven, what did Jesus do? He came down from Mount Hermon to climb Mount Calvary.

• Matt. 17:9-10 Jesus told Peter, James, and John not to tell anyone what they had seen until after his resurrection because Jesus knew that they didn't fully understand it and could not explain what they didn't understand. Their question in Mat_17:10 revealed their misunderstandings. They knew that Jesus was the Messiah, but they had much more to learn about the significance of his death and resurrection. This emphasizes the need for patience in learning before showing. Showing before learning leads to failure.

Personal Supplication
Father thank You for the tender, loving arms of Jesus that located me at the cross. Help me respond with deep love for You and the kingdom all the days of my life in Jesus' name! Mk 12:30-31
30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.

Daily Covenant Favor Declaration
I decree in the name of Jesus, from this moment forward, I see myself the way God sees me. I am highly favoured of the Lord. I am crowned with glory and honour. I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.
I am reigning as a king in life through the one man Jesus Christ the messiah. Now in Jesus name, I declare by faith that I walk in divine favour, I have preferential treatment, supernatural increase. I have restoration, I have prominence, I have petitions granted, laws changed, policies and rules changed, and battles won, which I do not have to fight all because of favour. The blessing and favour of God is on my life. In Jesus name, every morning, when I arise, I would speak and expect divine favour to go before me and surround me as with a shield, with goodwill and pleasures forevermore.

Doors are now open for me that men said are impossible to open. No obstacles can stop me, no hindrances can delay me. In Jesus name, I am honoured by my Father, as I receive genuine favour that comes directly from God. I am special to Him, I am the object of His affection, I am the apple of His eyes, I am blessed and highly favoured of the Lord. Everyone and everything shall work to favour me. Angels Goodness and Mercy shall accompany me in all my ways. It is written with long life will God satisfy me and show me his salvation. Therefore, I declare that I shall not die but live to declare the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. I declare over me and my household today that the yoke and burden of death over us is broken. So shall it be for me and my household today in Jesus’ name, Amen and Amen!
