Why is it so hard to lose weight ?

It doesn't matter if you are 6% body fat or 50% body fat, losing weight is difficult. Why is it so difficult?
Your body is designed to adapt and live in environments that aren't comfortable. In goods times your body stores energy as fat and glycogen. In bad times, it uses Glucagon to utilize this stored energy.
Basically, your body is designed so that you can survive no matter what conditions it encounters. In todays over abundant resource societies, it is easy to always be in that fed state and always be storing calories.
