Today I'm meal prepping my cat Jericho's ground raw and whole prey diet. I'm introducing adult mice to his raw diet menu!

Jericho is currently eating ground raw for his main meals.

Plus baby whole prey mice and quail as snacks.

Today I'm starting my meal prep to include whole prey adult mice!

I am going to put the large adult mouse on the plate to weigh that out first.

These mice vary in weight so I want to make sure I weigh that plus the ground raw to get a complete meal.

This will ensure Jericho eats the same amount of food daily.

The mice are between 0.6-1 ounce each.

I'm using large glass jars to hold the mouse and ground raw. Plus some smaller jars and freezer bags for the remaining meals.

Then I will use ice cube trays for his second ground raw meal (no whole prey).

I mix whole carcass ground quail and ground duck (from Hare Today) with water and supplements to complete the meal.

I like to do it this way so that Jericho eats a variety of proteins throughout the day.

Apparently wild cats eat 5-7 different proteins to complete their diet!

I will continue to introduce new proteins and whole prey within the next few months.

That's the best way to round out the diet!
