Lindsey Graham’s Abortion Ban Trips Up GOP Ahead Of Midterm Elections

Senator Lindsey Graham introduced a 15-week abortion ban. The Majority Report crew discusses how Republicans are afraid of what abortion will do to their electoral chances and want to focus on passing ‘moderate’ legislation, which still puts many pregnant persons’ lives in danger. In particular, the crew explains why a 15-week abortion ban would look different from the one already established in France and Germany. The crew also talks about the medical impact of Roe v Wade being overturned as cancer treatment is delayed for pregnant patients, and women are being denied the morning-after pill as it could have legal implications for health care providers.

You heard Fetterman announced that he was going to do this, he had 3,000 people at a rally in a Republican part of Pennsylvania in the rain and was talking about overturning the- or I should say passing protection for abortion on a federal level. Democrats, they do this, then the Republicans have to run against repealing the right for people to have an abortion. They are terrified of this issue because they are slowly some of them are starting to realize like how bat crap crazy this policy is and how much people take offense to having their rights rolled back after 50 years. Just look at the voter registration roles in the aforementioned Pennsylvania and in Wisconsin and look at how many women are registering right now. This is gonna actually this is gonna translate, I mean is it enough to hold the house? I don't know...
