Some within Russia are pushing for full mobilization and an escalation in the war in Ukraine to fully achieve the objectives set out by the special military operation, yet at the moment, Putin has not yet signaled he is willing to make this move. The dangers of mobilization or a declaration of war is that the situation will spiral out of control. Putin understands this and will not overreact recent humiliations on the battlefield.
