On March 15th 2021, Police attacked a group of people who arrived to attend the jury trial of Ammon Bundy and Aaron Von Schmidt on charges of trespassing-failure to depart. Marshall Wood pushed a young man into John Nunez' back while Deputy Rackley pushed him and he fell to the ground. Robert went to help John, but officer Richardson pushed him back. Robert and I witnessed Officer Mulkey grab 69 year old Casey Baker, who has Parkinson's, and throw him to the ground through the courthouse door, which caused a golf ball sized lump on his elbow. We went towards Casey, but it was too late. Then, Robert was trying to alert Scott Johnson, who was the presiding Ada Sheriff's deputy on site, that we needed an ambulance immediately for John Nunez. They had closed the door, so I opened it, so they could hear Robert, and they pushed Robert again.
After the ambulance arrived and paramedics had loaded John onto a stretcher, Robert was following behind when he was pushed by Officer Richardson yet again!
Were they trying to provoke him? Not one of the three instances of pushing Robert seem necessary or justified to me. Why would they say Robert was "getting close" to needing to go to jail? Casey Baker was charged with 2 counts of felony battery on officers that day, so why wasn't Officer Richardson charged with battery? Ask the elected Ada County Prosecutor Jan Bennetts. Demand her to drop bogus charges on Casey Baker, Robert Jones, Eva Selleck, and Lori Marr, who are in the same situation of being compelled to show up and being charged with failure to appear for demanding their rights according to the constitutions including ID Constitution Article 1 Sections 13 and 18.
It is alarming that local police will ignore the Constitution to enforce Idaho Supreme Court Judge Bevin's orders. Judges are limited by the constitution and are to be checked by the executive branch. It's hard to challenge the constitutionality of the mask mandate when every court in the land is enforcing mask mandates in court rooms. What happened to not depriving life or liberty without due process? What due process was used to take away the right of all the people to breath and communicate freely and choose their own medical practices?
This video shows the instances of Robert being pushed from multiple angles, then plays more of the clips to provide some context.
